During One Box for Hope's first official trip to Nicaragua, Laura met up with another non-profit group, Lone Tree Foundation.  This foundation manages a library in Palo Solo and has been sponsoring an art program for students.  They are losing their funding for the art instructor and we have been asked if we could support the instructor fees once a month.  We hope to be able to accomplish this request and are excited to be partnering up with this group.  One Box for Hope also hopes to donate more books to the Palo Solo Library to keep encouraging children in the area to read and to make books more accessible.  Check back for more information on the developments.

A visit was made to the Temua school where each of the elementary students were given a backpack containing school supplies.  Teachers supplies were also distributed.  Students were also given toys, clothing, and shoes.  Be sure to check out the pictures in the photo section!
